Why Choose Board Gaming as a Hobby?
Community Building
Gathering around the table gives friends and family the chance to experience challenges and joyful moments together. These shared experiences can strengthen relationships both during the game and beyond it. Board games can even lead to new friendships. Cooperative games are a great example, as they encourage teamwork and communication. Például, ilyen lehet egy kooperatív játék, ahol csapatmunkára és kommunikációra van szükség.
Relaxation and Stress Relief
Just imagine how good it feels to sit down with a board game after a long, stressful day and become completely immersed in its world. Solving a puzzle or enjoying a light-hearted party game can be a great way to relax, recharge, and leave everyday stress behind.
Develops Creativity and Thinking Skills
A strategy game, for example, gives players the chance to make mentally challenging decisions in situations where they need to consider both the reactions of other players and the changing flow of the game. A creative party game, on the other hand, allows us to express our imagination and sense of humour while we play.
Self-Awareness
Role-playing games can place us in situations and confront us with decisions that we might never experience in everyday life. This can help us better understand our own strengths, weaknesses, and reactions, and improve in areas where we would like to grow.
New Experiences Again and Again
The world of board games never stands still. New and exciting games are constantly being released, which means there is always something new to discover and try. The gaming community is also continually growing, so there will always be others who share the same passion.
Something for Everyone
No matter your age or interests, there is something for everyone in the world of board games. From light-hearted party games to deep strategic experiences, the variety is almost endless.
That is exactly why I fell in love with board gaming too.
Who Am I?
Hi, I"m Horváth-Fekete Szabina , a board game designer who turns creative ideas into games.
I would love you to experience the joy of playing too. My different events are designed to give you that opportunity.
I know what it feels like to spend the entire day working and only have time left for the things that simply have to be done. Before my children were born, I experienced the same thing until I started creating the FuNdál project. That was when I realised just how important it is to make time for fun. Games offer a wonderful way to feel freer and spend meaningful time with the people we care about.
Every day, I discovered more and more possibilities that games can offer. Since joining the Hungarian Board Game Association and taking part in various board gaming events, I have come to understand just how valuable play can be in today’s world.
My first game, Varázsösvény, has already made its way onto store shelves. I am also happy to share the experience I gained during the development process with other game designers. My bigger goal is to eventually support creators like me as a publisher as well. I am very excited to have started down this path, and I am curious to see how far this idea can grow.

I have always loved playing board games, and game design gives me the opportunity to express my creativity. I believe board games can develop the thinking skills of both children and adults, while also being a great way to relax and have fun.
I never design games based solely on my own ideas. Other people’s opinions are extremely important to me, which is why I take my games to different places for playtesting. This helps me create the best possible final version.
My goal is to create games that many people can enjoy. I also want to support enthusiastic designers like me whenever I can, because I know how difficult the journey from an idea to a finished game can be.
